Shiats is a well renowned university for agriculture as suggested by the name it has agriculture as its foundation course. You will get all the necessary facilities and faculty, if you are thinking to pursue agriculture from there then definitely go for it. Only the fees is higher than the rest government agriculture colleges.

Well, you can get a private college, but you have to opt for a private medical college. And, maybe you have to go through management too, as this year the cutoff in Karnataka is much high. I hope it works.

Good to hear about your aim of being an Agriculturist.
The admission test is conducted in May and forms are filled by end of May. So, please stick to the timeline.
As far as course in considered, the subjects you are studying in class 11th and class 12th will be the part of the syllabus. So, work hard with your subjects. You can go for any one of the following PCM/PCB/Ag. during intermediate level. The subjective is based on the intellect and there are no specific question banks available for this test.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore is a STATE UNIVERSITY which provides B.Sc. (Agriculture) which is an n Under Graduate Degree program providing Full Time degree for a Duration of 4 years.
It is approved by ICAR and was established in 1971.
The University offers UG courses in 12 disciplines, Masters programme in 33 disciplines, regular Ph.D in 27 disciplines, integrated Ph.D in 4 disciplines and external Ph.D by research in 28 disciplines.

It depends on the college, as they have different procedures. For government colleges, there are some entrance exams like UPCATET AIEEEA, and several other state and national level exam.

You are eligible for writing government exams like SSC CGL UPSC SBI and other government-related exams, but I don't think there is a need of studying agriculture for those jobs, a normal degree is enough for writing those exams. Moreover, the eligibility varies from state to state, do some research in your state regarding eligibility for government exams related to agriculture field. And one more thing, there is no government statutory body for agriculture unlike MCI for medicine, PCI for pharmacy, AICTE for engineering, in India it was governed by ICAR- a non-profit organisation and institute.
