Upon completion of 4 years' degree course, you are trained and qualified to design and test aircraft, engines and related equipment. After graduation, you may continue further studies, and do MS/M.Tech Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineer, and thereafter you can do Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral programme.
On the other hand, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a 3 year's optional vocational training course approved by DGCA Director General of Civil Aviation. Studying abroad but A.M.E. Is not the type of course. In addition, civil aviation industry is booming only in India and hence it stands to reason that you should do this course in India. Thank you.
