First year of B.Tech is same for all branches at AKTU. Syllabus of first year is designed to introduce students with basics of all engineering branches. If the student's basics is clear and has good academic report and knowledge of class 11th and 12th along with teacher's guidance and notes maintained of all subjects with continuous revision students can easily clear 1st year of B tech at AKTU without any back .
Note- Back means if you got less then 30% marks in any subject in university exam then you need to appear in same exam again.

Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU Lucknow provides schlarship programs in the form of financial assistance to meritorious students who generally belongs to SC/ST/OBC category under the UP state scholarship scheme.
Every year UP state government releases a free reimbursement for every student of AKTU-affiliated colleges, who are struggling financially to support their education process. Institute of Engineering and technology is best for engineering as it is ranked as the top engineering colleges among technical institutions. As it offers faculty members with numerous skills and excellent knowledge with a friendly and helping attitude, and this college offers good Infrastructure with placements above 6-8 LPA average salary for students during there campus placements. The highest package offered is 55LPA for the same too.

For admission to first year of MCA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed Bachelors degree course of 03 Years minimum duration from any recognised Indian University; or its equivalent, recognised by A.I.U. securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
