For seeking admission to the programme, candidates should possess a BE/ BTech or equivalent degree in relevant stream with a minimum of 60% aggregate (54% for SC/ ST candidates) along with a valid UPTAC rank. GATE-qualified candidates are also considered for AKTU MTech admission. However, such candidates first need to undergo a counselling process along with UPTAC-qualified candidates for seat allotment.

There is no upper age limit for pursuing UG programmes offered at AKTU but candidates need to be at least 16 years of age as of December 31 of the current academic year to pursue any of these courses.

The difference between BCom and BCom (Hons) programme is that a student can specialise in a certain subject such as Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies, etc. while pursuing BCom (Hons), which is not possible in BCom Pass course. However, admission to both the programmes is granted on a merit basis.

Yes, AKTU offers LLB, BA LLB programmes at UG level. AKTU BA LLB admission for eligible candidates is based on aggregate obtained in Class 12 followed by a counselling-cum-seat allotment process. LLB aspirants are shortlisted on the basis of CLAT score.
