Yes, AKU is a Private institution commonly called AKTU. It has a campus size of 35.17 acres. There are 12 colleges affilicated to the same. They have been recognised by the University Grants Commission and are AICTE approved for providing 75 courses in 9 different streams. Education and research in the fields of information technology and management are the primary focus of this stand-alone institute under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Yes, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University offers a hostel and various other facilities to students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Visit the official website and check what are the charges for the hostel and decide whether to avail of this facility or not. The hostel is safe for students and proper security is maintained at the hostel for the students.

It is upto the students choice because the admission in DTC will be based on Jee main merit list.

And admission in  APJ AKTU counseling is also good it have good institutes under it.

So based on the rank you got in Jee main you should make choice and direct admission should be management quota is less.

You should go on rank and see the better result in certain counsellings don't got for direct admissions every time.

see for good colleges in counselling if you don't get desired college then its upto you to take desired college

Your rank is too high but there are chances that you might get the college. For this do the counselling of all rounds until possible and add colleges with both stream with status of Government and Private institutions. You may also add branch with specialisation in Computer Science.
