For some courses, students may not require entrance exams for admissions but for others, entrance exams are essential. The mode of Karaikudi Alagappa University course admissions is online. Alagappa University Alagappa Puram course admissions is based on entrance exam scores and merit. The accepted entrance exams are CAT, TANCET, MAT,  XAT, CMAT,  ATMA, and others.

Under the Alagappa University, Alagappa University College of Physical Education, Tourism and Hotel Management College, Centre for Yoga Education, and others provide BSc courses to students. To join the BSc course, students will have to pay a tuition fee of INR 7.5 K - INR 8 L. This fee is exclusive of transportation charges, admission charges, and others.

Students can choose Alagappa University for undergraduation as well as postgraduation courses. As far as the undergraduation is considered, the flagship course offered by the university is BSc and BA. The fee for these courses is not very high. For BSc, students will have to pay INR 7.5 K - INR 8 lakh. For the BA course, students will have to pay INR 7.5 K - INR 12.4 K. The ROI is also good. Thre undergraduate students find jobs in top companies such as Cognizant, TCS, Axis Bank, and others.

Alagappa University is popular in the state and has good ranking record. In NIRF 2024, the university has secured #76th spot under the overall category. Moreover, under the university category, it is ranked #47. Alagappa University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Additionally, it is a government-recognised university that is accredited with Grade A+ by NAAC. It is also a member of AIU and Commonwealth Universities. Hence, Alagappa Unievrsity is a good option for BSc course aspirants.

The university offers four non-major electives (courses offered to other departments) in the Alagappa University MBA programme. Candidates can select the preferred course in the second or third semester. The non-major electives included in the course curriculum are:

Alagappa University follows the reservation policy as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It also has 5% of seats reserved for differently-abled students (Government Letter No.12599/K2/2017-1, dated 21.07.2017). For admission in reserved seats, the candidates are required to submit the relevant documents. Moreover, the seat allotment for the PG course is done based on candidates performance in the accepted exams and performance in the selection rounds.

Considering the university 2024 admission schedule, the application window remains open till May. The Alagappa University entrance exam in 2024 was conducted on Jun 2. Hence, the Alagappa University MBA applications can be expected to be out in Apr/May. The admission notification is published on the official website of the university.
