Alagappa University

The university offers four non-major electives (courses offered to other departments) in the Alagappa University MBA programme. Candidates can select the preferred course in the second or third semester. The non-major electives included in the course curriculum are:

• Management of Organisational Stress and Conflict
• Management of Retailing
• Management of Small Business
• Management of Family Business

Alagappa University follows the reservation policy as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It also has 5% of seats reserved for differently-abled students (Government Letter No.12599/K2/2017-1, dated 21.07.2017). For admission in reserved seats, the candidates are required to submit the relevant documents. Moreover, the seat allotment for the PG course is done based on candidates performance in the accepted exams and performance in the selection rounds.

Candidates applying for an MBA at Alagappa University must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements. The aspirants with a valid Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST category candidats) are eligible to apply. During form filling and admission, candidates must hold the pass certificate and mark sheets (original/copies) as well. At the undergraduate level, Alagappa University Karaikudi offers BSc, BBA, BCom, and various other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the university offers MBA, MSc, and other prorammes to students. Alagappa University Alagappa Puram arranges various events and fests for students. There are various community services done by Alagappa University students. Some of them are Alagappa Alumni Garden, Alagappa Alumni Eco-Park, AU Community Radio (90.8 MHz), and others. The campus is built in such a way that the students completely feel happy studying in the campus.
