The students applying to Algoma University must submit their application for a study permit before arriving in Canada. The student must submit the following documents to apply:

·       A letter of acceptance from the designated learning institution (DLI) that they will be attending

·       A letter of explanation for any documents that are missing because of Covid-19.

·       A medical exam

·       An attestation of issuance of the student’s Quebec Acceptance Certificate

·       A custodian declaration for minors only

·       Other additional documents if required

The eligibility criteria for entrance scholarships for international students at Algoma University are given as follows:

• The students who want to be considered for these awards should have a temporary resident visa as a member of the student class under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of Canada on the first day.
• The students are also required to pay the international differentiation fee including the university transfers, second-degree students, collegeDiplomagraduates and college transfer students who are eligible for the entrance scholarship.
• Students are required to complete the fulfilling requirements in the academic year before they commence their studies at Algoma University.
• The awards require the enrollment for over two semesters in an academic year (Fall/Winter) which means that the students entering in the Winter or Spring Term will be considered for these awards in the next academic year.
