The eligibility criteria for admissions to MA courses at Aliah University is that candidates must complete their bachelor's degree in the same subject; for example, if candidates want to get admissions into MA in Geography, they are required to complete their BA in Geography with a minimum aggregate of 45%. The selection is based on the candidates achieved scores in AUAT (the Aliah University Admission Test).

Yes, Aliah University does offer MA courses for the duration of two years. Further, it is divided into four semesters. The primary eligibility criteria required by the university to get admissions into MA courses is that candidates must complete their bachelor's degree (BA) in the same subjects with an aggregate of 45%. Moreover, the university offers eleven specialisations in the course.

No, Aliah University does not offer direct admissions to MSc courses. The university is a public university that accepts entrance examination scores for admissions to MSc courses. Moreover, to get admissions, candidates are required to complete the complete eligibility criteria with the selection process. The eligibility criteria are that candidates must complete their bachelor's degree in the same subjects with an aggregate of 45% to 50%. The minimum aggregate of 45% is only applicable to MSc in Geography and Economics. MSc in Statistics at Aliah University is a two-year postgraduate degree course, divided into four semesters, and offered in full-time mode. To get admissions into this course, candidates must have completed their BSc in Statistics/Mathematics with an aggregate of 50%. The information regarding applying for more than one programme through a single application form for the MSc course at Aliah University is available on its official website. The information is that candidates can apply for a maximum of three programs/courses/subjects at the same time. The application form will be the same; candidates can choose their preferred specialisation while filling out the application form. Moreover, the application fee varies as per the subject/ specialisation selected.

The name of the entrance exam for the Aliah University MSc course is the Aliah University Admission Test. AUAT is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper test) and the duration of the entrance exam is 2 hours. Candidates have to register themselves online on the official website of Aliah University to fill out the AUAT application forms. Candidates must follow the AUAT exam pattern and revise the AUAT syllabus for the AUAT exam. The AUAT application form is open for the MSc admission; the last date to apply for the course is April 20, 2025.

The total number of seats offered in the MSc course at Adamas University is 260. On the other hand, the total number of MSc seats offered by Aliah University is 159 (except for MSc in Economics).  Hence, it can be explicitly seen that Adamas University offers the greater number of seat capacity for the MSc course. To get admission into the Adamas University MSc course, candidates are selected on the basis of  performance in the Adamas AUAT.

The total tuition fee for MSc courses at Aliah University is INR 9,800. On the other hand, the total tuition fee for MSc courses at Jadavpur University ranges from INR 48,000 to INR 1.6 lakh. Hence, it clearly can be seen that Aliah University is more affordable than Jadavpur University for MSc courses. However, the fee structure can be only one component that candidates consider while comparing institutes, but several factors can be taken into account while choosing the best university/college, such as placement packages, seats, ranking of that particular institute, affiliation, accreditation, etc.
