Class 11 is the right time to start preparation for a highly competitive entrance exam like NEET. As Class 11 syllabus is included in the NEET syllabus, you must do simultaneous preparation for both. Some basic preparation tips for NEET to be followed in Class 11 are given below:

• Understand the NEET exam pattern and syllabus: The first step of any exam preparation is to be aware of the exam pattern and structure and the syllabus. As the NEET exam pattern has changed this year, and the syllabus underwent major changes last year, it is important for you to be aware of the latest pattern and syllabus.

• Focus on NCERT Text Books: As NCERT forms the base of the NEET syllabus, you must foucs on studying from the NCERT books first, before starting any other reference book. First complete the important chapters of the NCERT textbooks of Class 11 for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. After completing each chapter, solve the practice exercises as well to tally your preparation level.
• Identify your strengths and weaknesses: After solving the practice exercises or lessons of the NCERT books, you must identify your strong and weak areas in terms of subjects, as well as topics. Based on that, prepre a study timetable where you focus more on your weak areas and also keep brushing up the strong areas. 
• Make a study plan: Create a proper timetable and study plan allocating preparation of each of the three subjects. The study plan should include studying new topics, revision and practice. 
• Decide on taking coaching: In general, NEET aspirants start taking coaching right after appearing for their Board exams. You have to take a call whether you want to join a NEET coaching institute right now or after completing the basic preparation and syllabus.
