Candidates who do not have competitive exam scores (CAT, NMAT, GMAT, XAT) are required to appear for ALNAT conducted by Altera Institute. The test evaluates the skills and readiness of candidates for the course. There is no extra fees for taking ALNAT.

Altera Institute conducts ALNAT for admission to PGP. However, aspirants with a score in CAT, XAT, NMAT or GMAT can also get admission in the PGP programme of the institute. Appearing for it is subject to Institute shortlisting.

Personal Interview is the second stage of Altera Institute admission process. Aspirants who are selected have to go through the below two rounds of interview:

Case Discussion: Candidates are given a business case and asked to discuss with the mentor from the admission committee to show their analytical and problem-solving skills.

Direct Interaction: Aspirants then meet the founder or founding members. This round is conversational and focuses on past experiences, interests, ambitions and overall fit of candidates for the course.

Altera Institute conducts ALNAT or Altera National Aptitude Test for admission to PGP in Applied Marketing. The exam evaluates the proficiency of candidates in areas such as Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability.

Altera Institute offers scholarships to support candidates. Students must pass the selection rounds. Aspirants must also meet the criteria for scholarship. Check below the scholarship details:

Candidates have to pay a non-refundable application fees of INR 1,499 for early round. The application fees for later rounds is INR 1,999. The fees can be submitted while submitting the form on the official website of Altera Institute.

The total fees for PGP in Applied Marketing is INR 16.44 lakh at Altera Institute. This fees also includes admission fees of INR 1 Lacs and tuition fees of INR 15.44 lakh. The institute offers financing options to students via tie-ups with leading banks like IDFC Bank, HDFC Credila and Propelld NBFC. 

Altera Institute cutoff changes every year based on applicant quality and competition. The cutoff for 2025 intake was 85+ percentile in CAT, 220+ in NMAT and 85+ percentile in XAT. The final selection is done on overall profile, academics, work experience and performance of the candidates in the interview round. The institute considers strong profiles with high growth potential even if slightly below these ranges.

Candidates need to score at least 50% aggregate or equivalent in UG studies to apply for PGP at Altera Institute Gurgaon. The institute also accepts scores in CAT, NMAT, XAT & GMAT for admission. Aspirants without any of the accepted entrance exam scores need to appear for Altera Institute National Aptitude Test (ALNAT) after application submission.
