At Texila American University, Indian students typically favor part-time employment in industries like retail and hospitality, such as working in stores, eateries, or coffee shops. Some also do tutoring in subjects like math or science.  Some work as freelancers doing IT support or content writing, or they find administrative positions in nearby offices. These jobs are chosen because they offer flexible hours. Students just need to make sure the job follows local rules and doesn't affect their studies.

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme at Texila American University is the most popular courses for Indian students. Many Indian students choose this because medical seats in India are limited. Students who complete TAU's MD program are better prepared for medical residency in the US thanks to USMLE training and clinical rotations in the USA and Guyana. It helps students qualify for medical residency in the US. Besides MD, postgraduate programs like Master of Medicine or Surgery are popular among Indian students. TAU also offers courses in Public Health, Business, and IT, but medicine remains the top choice.

It is not very easy, but it is not impossible to find a part-time job while attending Texila American University. The school hosts career events where you can network with employers and occasionally they offer small jobs like office assistant. Additionally, you can search online or at nearby stores for part-time employment outside of the university. Just be sure your studies will not get affected by the job.

I came onboard Texila American University (TAU) in Feb 2024. My experience working at TAU was very challenging. I encountered behavior that I felt was discriminatory and prejudiced and harassing. Other senior employees and students voiced concerns over TAUs senior leadership poor management. Based on my experience, I would recommend caution to anyone considering Texila American University.
