American University

I came onboard Texila American University (TAU) in Feb 2024. My experience working at TAU was very challenging. I encountered behavior that I felt was discriminatory and prejudiced and harassing. Other senior employees and students voiced concerns over TAUs senior leadership poor management. Based on my experience, I would recommend caution to anyone considering Texila American University. 

A comparison of American University with the University at Buffalo and University of Washington is given as follows. A few of the parameters that will be considered by students for deciding the university are tuition fees, quality of faculty, tuition fees, scholarships, etc. 

American University campus size is 90 acres. The main campus of American University is located at 4400 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington. The university has 150+ student organizations. A few of the categories of the university's organizations are academic / professional, performing arts, political, social, student media, etc. Also, the university offers athletic facilities like top-tier fitness centers, group exercise classes, personal training, etc.

91% is the placement rate for American University graduates are working, or in graduate school, or both. The top employers of this university undergraduates are EY, Deloitte, Accenture, Amazon, Bank of America, ESPN, etc. The average salary of American University undergraduates is USD 65,909 (Around INR 56 L).

The duration of American University MBA course is 21-months. MBA class size at this university is small which ensures that students form a lifelong personal and professional network with the peers and professors. The student-to-faculty ratio is 19:1. It is ranked among the Top 50 in the US as per a top-ranking publisher. It also ranks at No. 5 for the Better World MBA in the US by Corporate Knights. Also, note that the MBA course is STEM-designated course.

Georgetown University acceptance rate stands at 13%, which makes it an extremely selective university to get into. In comparison with the American University acceptance rate of 47%, Georgetown Uni can be considered much more selective in its admission criteria.

As listed, getting into Georgetown University is competitive. Hence, students must excel in academics to boost their chances. Apart from this, students who are outstanding in activities outside class also stand a good chance of securing admission.

Out of these,  more than 8,000 candidates secured an admission offer from the university. Hence, it can be concluded that with the American University acceptance rate of 47.3%, the university is selective to get into.
