The work/internship at AUD Dubai that the student secures is supposed to be related to your field of study and can range from a minimum of 225 hours to 400 hours in 12-16 weeks. These hours are to be completed within 1 academic semester in Fall or Spring. Students can also complete their hours during Internship Term in May-Aug.

Yes AUD Dubai can be considered worth it due to its high ROI (90%+ employment rate) and its high rankings. It secured top position in four key categories in the QS WUR 2026 including  sustainability, employer reputation, international faculty and employment outcomes in Dubai

Yes both UG and PG students will have to pay an application fees of AED 420 or INR 10k to AUD Dubai. Also there has to be a non refundable deposit to be paid of AED 5,000 or INR 1.2L for UG and AED 2,000 or INR 50k for PG students

As per many unofficial sources, the American University in Dubai has been called moderately selective with an acceptance rate between 60 to 65%

The university focuses on the academic potential of an individual and the factors like the high school GPA, English language proficiency and standardized tests are considered.

Indian students have to meet some admission requirements to be able to get into American University Dubai. Given below are those requirements, take a look - 

  • An online application
  • A high school diploma
  • Official transcripts 
  • A valid IELTS with min score of 6.0+ or the TOEFL score
  • A copy of passport 
  • A GPA of 3.2 to 3.8 
  • And possibly a SAT or ACT score

The university's operations are handled by a Board of Directors. Elias N. Bou Saab founded the AUD Dubai in 1995. He still continues to serve as the member of the Governing Board. Other members of the board include Chairman Justin G. Cooper, President Kyle Long, and Vice Chairman Habib Al Mulla.

Long was appointed President in 2019, before giving it up on an interim basis to Dr Lance de Masi in 2023. He again returned as president in 2024.
