According to students of BTech Chemical Engineering (batch of 2025), placements for the Chemical branch was not that high. Further, the lowest and the highest package offered during IIT Tirupati Chemical Engineering placements in 2023 stood at INR 5 LPA and INR 40 LPA, respectively. Further, as per the CSE student review, the average package offered during IIT Tirupati placements is around INR 9 LPA. Some students are also of the view that IIT Tirupati is not great in terms of placements but good for higher studies.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers 8 M.Tech specialisations, namely Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Computer Science and Data Analytics, Power Electronics and Drives, Advanced Communication Systems and Signal Processing, Thermal Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering, with a total of 10 seats for each specialisation.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers BTech in eight specialisations including Biotechnology (35 seats), Chemical Engineering (35 seats), Civil Engineering (100 seats), Computer Science & Engineering (150 seats), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (125 seats), Electronics & Communication Engineering (150 seats), Mechanical Engineering (120 seats), and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (35 seats) with a total intake capacity of 750 students.
