Anna University Affiliation

Lovely Professional University (LPU) does not have an academic affiliation with Anna University in Chennai. LPU is a fully independent private university established under the Lovely Professional University Act, 2005, and it awards its own degrees that are recognised across India and abroad. It is officially recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has approvals or accreditations from other statutory bodies depending on the programme you choose, such as the Bar Council of India (BCI) for law,  Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) for pharmacy,  Council of Architecture (COA) for architecture programs, and more. It is also a member of national and international higher-education bodies like the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and others, which supports degree equivalence and academic cooperation. Anna University, on the other hand, is a respected state technical university in Tamil Nadu with its own network of affiliated colleges and degree programs. Because LPU and Anna University are separate legal entities with different governance structures and purposes, there's no formal affiliation between them. Both institutions contribute to higher education in India in their own ways, and LPU stands strong with its own recognised framework and global partnerships.
