Yes, BSc courses at Anna University follows a seat reservation policy according to the Tamil Nadu government seat reservation policy. The seats are reserved for these following categories:

| ST | 1% |
| SC- Arunthathiyar | 3% |
| Most Backward Classes | 20% |
| Backward Class | 26.50% |
| General Category | 31% |
| Backward Class (muslims) | 3.50% |
Candidates seeking admission against ST/ SC / MBC & DNC / BC / BCM (BC Muslim) quota should obtain the certificates of social status issued by the competent authority in the prescribed Permanent Community Card in Tamil Nadu and enclose an attested copy of the same along with the application.
Note: The seat reservation policy at Anna University is applicable not only to the BSc course but also to other programmes.
