Hello,
There is no separate entrance examination conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology for admission but you have to pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.

Both have a comparable scope. Starting salaries are around about the same for both courses. Do you prefer maths and physics? Mechanical engineering is more focused on those subjects and its very technical or art because architecture is more focused it, but architecture encompasses a range of subjects such as maths, physics, geography, etc.

When it is a matter of choosing a career in the field of civil engineering or architecture, one has to know the basic differences between the two which includes the difference of working environments, career scope, core subjects and future prospects in these two fields. Though these fields are similar in many aspects but there are differences which makes them unique and individual fields.

As per your interests, I would suggest you to for JEE Mains exam.
You have interest in Architecture, Computer Science, then JEE Mains will be an ultimate option for you. The JEE Mains exam consists of two Papers-Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 is for engineering. You can pursue computer engineering from a reputed IIT if you qualify in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
Paper 2 is for Architecture. If you want to go for architecture course, then you must appear for JEE Mains Paper 2.
