Dear
You need to appear for NATA or JEE Mains for top Architecture colleges. Without that, you can't get admission in any of the college in India.
So, prepare yourself for that exam and do well.
All the best.

Dear Lavanaya,
Obliviously, the value of B.arch is more in comparison with diploma in architecture. B.Arch is a degree course as you will be a graduate after doing this.
If you want to do diploma in architecture, then you can do and after diploma engineering surely you will get admission in 2nd year of engineering in B.Arch

Dear Madhumita,
Yes, the demand of civil engineers is also good. After completing engineering in civil branch, you will have more opportunities in government sector too. Every year central government and state government both recruit civil engineers.

Hello Madhumita,
While architecture is about designing, the blueprint of various buildings, civil engineering does the ground work to materialise those designs. Therefore, these two courses are highly inter-related. Hence, if you are unable to get through into architecture, you can opt for civil engineering.
I hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

Dear,
So far my knowledge goes, Masters degree in architecture is not possible without doing B.arch.
But related to postgraduate course in architecture, domain like urban planning or likewise, you can pursue from "school of planning and architecture" from your civil background. You may visit this link for more references:

Best wishes.

If you like that, definitely go for that. You have heard that waiting for a big fish and leaving the small one is not good who knows there is no big fish in the river.
