Hi Shanmukha,
You can study either in India or abroad, if you study abroad see that it is a good university, studying in a low ranked university is not good. Better, in this case you study in a good institute in your own country. Universities in Japan, Singapore, China and Hong Kong, Netherlands, Canada etc. are good for architecture and affordable too.

To take admission in IIT, you need to qualify JEE Main paper 2 that is for B.Arch. Then, you need to qualify JEE Advance. After that, you will get the chance at JEE Advance AAT i.e. the Architecture Aptitude Test. After you qualify AAT, you will get the seat.

Hi Priyanka, majority of the degrees are accepted don't worry. You need to see, if the university and the programme is accredited too in their own countries, top ones generally don't have any problems. UK degrees are not easily accepted by India nowadays.

For admission in B.Arch, you need to have 50% marks in 10+2 examinations with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. You also need to appear for JEE Main.

You should be specific of which college are you talking about? A rank around 2000-3000 is a very decent rank to get admission in many of the colleges (excluding the top one's like Delhi, Mumbai, Kanpur etc.).
