A General category student must secure an AIR rank of 55,000 or above to get an MBBS seat in a good college. Candidates must note that this is a predictive cutoff rank and not an absolute data. The actual cutoff data or rank will be relesed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) after the conclusion of the counselling process for Assam NEET.

In general, the total duration of the Assam NEET UG counselling is of three to four months. The total number of counselling rounds is also around three to four. On an average, each round is conducted for a duration of one month. The exact durtion will be updated once the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam announces the round-wise schedule of the Assam NEET counselling 2025. In general, the institute reporting process is conducted for three to four days for each round of Assam NEET counselling. Candidates will have to check the important dates carefully and report to the institutes within the deadline. In certain cases, the last date of reporting to institutes is extended. There may be a possibility that DME Assam will conduct institute reporting separately for courses or candidate categories.
