The Assam NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 dates have been revised by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam, due to the addition of MBBS seats in the state. The registration process is being conducted from September 8 to September 9, 2025, followed by the choice filling and locking process from September 10 to September 11, 2025. The seat allotment result will be declared on September 19, 2025, followed by the institute reporting process from September 24 to September 25, 2025.

There are five Special Quota or seat reservation categories which are followed in the MBBS and BDS admission for the Assam NEET counselling process. The quotas and the number of seats reserved are given in the table below.

The 2nd merit list for Assam NEET 2024 has not been released yet. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam is expected to publish it soon. The exact date will be available on the DME Assam official website. Once released, candidates can download the merit list in PDF format without needing any login credentials.

A General category student must secure an AIR rank of 55,000 or above to get an MBBS seat in a good college. Candidates must note that this is a predictive cutoff rank and not an absolute data. The actual cutoff data or rank will be relesed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) after the conclusion of the counselling process for Assam NEET.

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam released the Assam NEET counselling cutoff 2025 after the conclusion of the counselling process. After each round of counselling, the seat allotment result is declared, which indicates the lowest rank or score at which a seat was offered, based on which the round-wise Assam NEET cutoff can be calculated.

There are a total of three to four rounds of Assam NEET UG counselling. These rouds are known as:
- First Round Counselling or Round 1 Counselling
- Second Round Counselling or Round 2 Counselling
- Third Round Counselling or Mop-up Round Counselling
- Fourth Round Counselling or Stray Vacancy Round Counselling
The number of rounds of counselling will vary depending on the seat vacancy.
