The B.Tech faculty of ASTU is very knowledgeable, with most of them holding M.Tech/Ph.D. degrees. The student satisfaction index awards these faculty 3.8/5; highly commended in CSE and Mechanical. Faculty actively participate in workshops and collaborations with industry, engaging with the curriculum supported by AICTE. Some students have also suggested the need for more visiting professors. The faculty-student ratio provides mentorships for 200+.

It is a good university in Guwahati, but certainly not the best; to add, IIT Guwahati and Guwahati University rank better because of placements and infrastructure. But, the college can be considered good. B.Tech and MBA courses a ASTU are AICTE-approved, with 50-60% placements (3-5LPA). It gives a rating of 3.5/5 in student reviews for faculty and affordability, but mentions limited MNC exposure.

The full fee for B.Tech at ASTU would be around 4-5 Lacs INR (4 years, 1-1.25 Lacs a year). Other expenses include around 50,000 hostel fees, plus exam fees.
Compared to private institutes like Tezpur University, where the B.Tech fee is INR 6 lakh, it's quite affordable. Even student reviews declare it to be cost-effective for programs which AICTE has approved.
