The cutoff marks laid down by the Assam Science and Technology University, ASTU for admission to B.Tech courses are marked depending on many significant factors like the number of applicants, how difficult the examination has been, and how many seats are made available to them.
However, every year cut-off marks for admission are announced by the university after examination for selection based on the performance of an applicant in the Joint Entrance Examination- (JEE) Main.

Assam Science and Technology University's cost is moderate compared to various other institutions. An undergraduate course like a B.Tech costs around Rs 50,000 to 60,000 per annum, so affordable by quite a few people.
While postgraduate courses like an MBA or M.Tech may be costlier, they are generally priced in the order of INR 70,000 and may go as high as 1,00,000 a year.
This makes the fee structure relatively low cost but on higher side than many public or private institutions for some students.

The placement opportunities available at Tezpur University and Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) are very much different in terms of results. At Tezpur University, almost 60-70% of students get jobs secured with a median salary of around 5.5 LPA for undergraduates and 4 LPA for post-graduate students.
Companies like Amazon, TCS, and Oracle are frequent visitors in the process of placement. On the contrary, unlike Tezpur, who's placement opportunities are not also made available so much at ASTU: it is said to hold a relatively lower placement rate as well as package in comparison.

For MBA, Going to Assam Science and Technology University is not that worth it. You can consider it as a back-up option but IIM should be target for a person appearing for CAT.
Assam Science and Technology University offers a only 60% placement for MBA Courses, average package is around 7-8 Lacs per annum.Assam Science and Technology University is a relatively new University and not that recognised among global companies.

Yes, you can take direct admission at ASTU in B.Tech Courses on the basis of Class-12th Marks. Admission to ASTU in B.Tech is done directly when seats remain left even after taking admission to JEE Mains, CUET, Assam CEE.

For taking admission to Assam Science and Technology University for MBA, you need to fulfill following criterion:-
• Minimum 50% marks in UG.
• Cleared one of the exam :- CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/Assam CEE.
• Cut-offs are released accordingly. You can apply and take admission there.
