You cannot safely secure entry into BA sociology (awards) at Tezpur University based on your 10+2 digits (ie without showing in Qet -UG or the university's own test tue). For BA Honours Admission, Tezpur University Recording -based selection makes compulsory.
Required entrance examination
Recordings are based on Cuet -G -Pointsum or Tezpur University Entrance Examination (Tueee).
Even if you fulfill 60% of the choice criteria, one of these tests is mandatory.
University sources make it clear that all applicants demand cow or tueee.

60 percentage in JEE MAIN is not good enough for Assam University. While 60 percentage score might be enough for some colleges. Assam University generally require a more higher percentile.The cut-off for 2025 is out.The round 6 closing rank for B.Tech computer Science and engineering was 58926, electronics and communication engineering was 67237 and for agricultural engineering the 6th round closing rank was 88476.

UG background: You should have a bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Allied subject.
Academic minimum: Usually at least 50% marks (some require 55–60%, SC/ST/OBC may get relaxation).
Entrance test: Clear a relevant PG agriculture entrance exam, such as ICAR AIEEA PG, CUET-PG, or a state/university PG exam.
Selection factors: Final list based on entrance score + UG marks; sometimes an interview or group discussion may follow.

For an integrated BSc and M.Sc programme at Assam University you will need to choose a Science subject the most common options are physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology depending on your interest and career goals.
Consider your strengths and interest when making the decision as your undergraduate major will influence your postgraduate options.

In Assam's UR PWD category, the expected cut-off percentile is around 75–77%. Exact cutoff varies by exam and year, so it's best to check result PDFs when released.

Yes, solving previous year's AHSEC HS Board exam question papers is very helpful. Students who practice it become aware of the exam pattern and type of questions asked in the exam. Also, it give students an idea about the level of questions asked i the exams. Regular practice of Previous year's Assam Board 12th question papers also improve writing speed and boosts confidence. Students should make it a habit to solve at least one paper every week at the end of their exam preparation.
