On average, A single person's estimated monthly costs are AUD 1,109.5 without rent. It is interesting to note that the cost of living in Australia is, on average, 2.1% higher than United States. On the other hand, rent in Australia is 19.3% lower than in United States.

The costs will vary based on the Australian university chosen, the cost of living in the Australian city and how much the applicant would need to spend while they study in Australia. Thus, applicants will have to check and plan their expenses accordingly also based on their spending capacities.

Yes, the cost of living in Australia is expensive for international students. Australia is one of the most expensive countries to study in after US, UK and even Canada. Around INR 10-20 Lakhs per annum is required to live in Australia as an international student. Thus, applicants who are going to study in Australia should be able to arrabge for funds around this figure so that they can sustain in Australia.

Yes, the costs of living in Australia vary based on the city in Australia. Though there is not a very huge disparity, but there are some rates that may vary. Like the cost of living in universities in one, second is the choice of accommodation off campus, then the mode of transport and other related expenses. Living expenses in Australia also include personal expenses of an applicant.
