Women in Engineering Program, formed in February 2013 in partnership with Rio Tinto and members of the Australian Power Institute (API) and the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA), is an initiative taken by the University of Queensland. The programme encourages women to pursue Engineering and build an impactful career for themselves. Currently, the programme is supported by 10 partners.

Australia is generally considered a safe country for Indians.The University of Queensland ensures that they make the campus safe and secured for the students. They keep themselves ready for emergency situations. It is necessary for the students as well as the staff to carry their identity cards. Students have access to a Safezone app which will help them connect with security department in case of any emergency. Apart from this, the university also organises personal awareness safety program to educate students on safety.

There is no application fee to apply to WSU Sydney City Campus. As compared to WSU Sydney Campus, the annual tuition fee to study at the University of the Sunshine Coast is less. Yes, University of Queensland permits international students to work while studying. If you have a valid students visa. International students are permitted to work up to 48 hours every two-week period during university semesters and full-time hours during breaks if you have a valid student visa.
