Dear Hardik,The cost for any Masters in Australia varies anywhere from AUD 20,000/- to 30,000/- per year depending on the university, for rough calculation purpose you may take an average of AUD 25, 000/- per year. The cost of living is AUD 18,000/- as required by the border agency. Hence for 2 years Master's degree course, the cost will be around AUD 86,000/- which as per today's rate of exchange, it is around 44 lakhs. Also, please do not enroll in a Master's program with less than 2 years of duration as it will not make you eligible for PR even though you save money. If your intention is to come back, then you may go for less than 2

Dear Sahal,
The minimum required experience to qualify is 4 to 5 years and PR depends also if the profession you are experienced in is on the SOL, your age also matters as there are points for age. Yes you will have to take your general IELTS and score as high as possible to get maximum points.

You can, however the choice of colleges may be limited as most of them require an overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.

Hi,
Which Masters course are you looking for: MBA or M.Tech?Accordingly, you will require GMAT or GRE apart from IELTS/TOEFL. Also, your research work, co curricular activities and other projects also matter. So look for universities that may not be the top ones but otherwise good.

Dear Kevinn,
The tuition fee for Masters programs at Australian universities start from Rs.20 Lakhs and can go upto Rs.35 Lakhs for the entire two years. The most economical and good option in my view would be Swinburne, Latrobe etc as they offer 20% scholarships if you have strong academics. The more better ones though are the G8s, RMIT and UTS. The fees for these universities are Rs.30 Lakhs+. Let me know in case you have additional queries.

By band, I assume you are speaking about the IELTS score. For engineering, majority of the colleges would require overall 6.5 with no band less than 6. However, you can check for colleges which will admit with overall 6 and no band less than 5.5. Search again such colleges if any will be as there are very few.

The minimum cut-off currently is 55% and 6.5 overall in IELTS with no band less than 6. However, the choices of universities will be very less as most do not accept less than 65 to 60% and if you have had backlogs, then the chances are even less.
