Both are good, University of Melbourne is higher ranked and ANU comes second.

Therefore you must enroll into the Master of Computing firstly. Master of Computing (Advanced) requires a thesis work. Both are Australia's top universities. You must check the curriculum of both and compare. You will know what is easier for you only if you check the curriculum. Also level of understand is different for different individuals. If ANU course may be easy for me it may not be for as per your academic intellect. Get in touch with the admission advisors of both the universities for guidance.
