NID does not provide Bachelor's degree in automobile designing:
1) MAEER's MIT Institute of Design, Pune offers 4.5 years Graduate Diploma Programme in Transportation Design.
2) DSK International School of Design, Pune offers 5-year Certification Programme in Transportation Design.
3) You can also pursue 3-year Graduate Diploma Programme in Automobile Styling from DYP-DC Center for Automotive Research and Studies, Pune

I suggest you to take course in which you are interested. Never do work in which you don't have interest. You may end up being regretting about your decisions. So, just get sure of what you want to do.

NIT does not offer automobile designing. Find below some of the top institutes in India to pursue automobile designing:-

Hello Shiwang,
Automobile design is a very esoteric topic. Italian designers are most sought after. Many of them are students of fine arts and look from aesthetic point of view. Others are doing research in IC engines some are doing research in hybrid tech. I would suggest you do graduation in mechanical, then you can pursue M.Tech in machine design.

Hello Ayush,
You said that you want to become an automatics designer. Even if there is any such course, it's use is rather limited. Even Indian companies are taking design inputs from special companies abroad. However, if that is your passion then you need to get job in the design department of an automobile major. Merely studying further will not help you.
