Automobile or automotive engineers are classified into three streams namely Product or Design Engineering, Development Engineering and last but not the least Manufacturing Engineering. In India I there is no specialized course like that. you can do MSc. Automobile Engineering in Uk. this is not be year program and you also have few universities offer one year internships. Google and see how many automobile companies in UK offers internship for students. Decide clearly you are looking for career in automotive industry or automotive designing. few universities you can see details in their websites.

Hi,
1) To pursue B.E. / B.Tech in Automobile Engineering :
- You need to complete 12th with minimum 60% (Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry) from recognized board to join good college. However, there are colleges which take students who have scored 45% - 50%.
- Your age must be between 17-23 years.
- You need to appear in entrance exam.

-state road transport corporations
-private transport companies
-insurance companies
-motor vehicle departments
Automobile manufacturing industries such as TELCO, L&T, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra, Heldex India, Bajaj Auto and Gabrial employ automotive engineering graduates as Senior Production Engineer, Quality Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer etc.
