This is one of the fields where on-site opportunities are relatively higher when compared to other sectors, provided that you have enough expertise and knowledge. Switching companies every two years will help to boost your package. There are companies such as Wipro, HCL, Capgemini, P3, L&T, GGS, Lionbridge, Airbus, Quest, Safron, CDG-Boeing and some more Aerospace/Automobile companies run by Technical illustrators and Authors. Nowadays, PTC CADprocess and Dassault's 3Dvia are also been used to ease the work. Learning this software will be an added advantage. In future, Digital Mockup may replace all illustrative works. So, paddle up to learn that too. All in all, Updating yourself over time will definitely help you to hava a better scope in Technical Illustrations.
