Yes, Journalism has a great scope in India. One can work as a reporter, correspondent, cameraperson, columnist, editor, feature journalist, critic and so on. Starting salary for Journalism would be between Rs 12,000 and 25,000 depending on your people and communication skills. After 5-years of work experience, a professional can expect a higher salary in the range of Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000 per month.
As far as the college is concerned, it does not matter which college have you pursued the course from. It is all about a valid degree, your talent, skills and calibre that will get you a good job and will help you have a bright future.

BA in Journalism and B.Sc in Mass Communication and Videography are not similar at all. These are totally different.
SXCKOL doesn't have BA Journalism course solely. It's an ancillary subject offered with BA (Hons) courses and B.Sc MCV course. If you want to opt for a journalism-oriented course then go for the B.Sc one. If there is anything other than this in your mind then go for BA and have journalism as an ancillary for half duration. The honours won't be in Journalism though.
Yes, the course is available for commerce students. People say if you have science in XI-XII then you can go anywhere, but if you have commerce, you cannot do a course related to science field. But here, it is not applicable. You can opt for a B.Sc course.
