Hi Sayak,
BA in Journalism and B.Sc in Mass Communication and Videography are not similar at all. These are totally different.
SXCKOL doesn't have BA Journalism course solely. It's an ancillary subject offered with BA (Hons) courses and B.Sc MCV course. If you want to opt for a journalism-oriented course then go for the B.Sc one. If there is anything other than this in your mind then go for BA and have journalism as an ancillary for half duration. The honours won't be in Journalism though.

There no specific cut-off mentioned by the college. You need to have a decent passing percentage in the qualifying exam.

Hi Prakash,
There is no entrance exam to take admission in Chitrabani College. The institute conducts a personal interview to evaluate your aptitude for the course and your admission will be determined on the basis of your performance in the interview.

Under Journalism and Communication programme you will develop skills in writing, communication, analytical and critical thinking. Media Laws, political system are key subjects if you study media in graduation. A journalism degree will open many career doors for you and many universities offers interdisciplinary programme.

Hi Tanya,
Yes, all the colleges that offer Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication/Media studies do conduct an entrance exam. The exam is basically a general aptitude test and consists of 4 sections including Quantitative aptitude (basic maths), Logical Reasoning, English Language and General awareness.
