The main entrance exam accepted is the *NEET*, which stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for the admission to the B.A.M.S. programme in SSSUTMS. It is a common entrance conducted by National Testing Agency across India for B.A.M.S. programs in the private and government institutions in the country.

A qualifying score in NEET is required for admission since it is a statutory requirement for medical and allied health Science courses. Then, the admission is based on counseling and cutoffs as per the NEET score and availability of seats.

To take admission for BAMS (Bachelor's in ayurvedic medicine and surgery), you need to appear in the NEET (national eligibility cum entrance test). As NEET exam is compulsory for this course, you need to first register for 2025 NEET whenever it starts. After you appear for this exam, counselling process will start followed by documents verification. After that, you'll be alloted college based on your preferences and NEET rank. So if you are thinking of taking admission for BAMS in 2025, you are adviced to start preparing for the entrance exam.

BAMS admissions at Gujarat Ayurveda University are available on the merit basis as well as on the entrance test basis. There is no direct admission as a form of admission. Admission requirements:

- Eligibility: 10+2 with pass in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and should have passed in each of them and 40% marks in each of the subject for SC/ST Candidates

- Entrance exam: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test commonly abbreviated as NEET.

- Seats: 180 (BAMS)

- Reservation: 50 percent seats for Gujarat state candidates and 15% for All India quota.
