Yes, those who have completed a 3-year Diploma in any engineering stream are eligible to apply for the BA Political Science course. The candidates who have pursued any qualification equivalent to Class 12 are eligible. A candidate who has completed a Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering is usually considered equivalent to a first-year engineering student. Those who do not wish to secure lateral entry in 2nd year of BTech/B.E. and become an engineer can pursue other undergraduate courses. By pursuing a BA Political Science course s/he is redirected to humanities-based career options.

No, usually there is no minimum or maximum age limit to pursue a BA course with any specialisation. The course is open to candidates belonging to any age group, though it is usually pursued by candidates after completing Class 12 or Diploma. Neither colleges nor entrance exam conducting bodies prescribe any age limit. However, some colleges, especially private colleges, may have their own policies regarding age limits. You must ensure that you fulfill other eligibility parameters such as academic qualifications, mark criteria, etc.

BA admission at the university is completely entrance-based. Hence, the next step is to appear for an entrance exam. Based on the entrance exam scores, AMU will release a merit list of selected students. As a final step, selected students need to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.
