Candidates seeking admission to the BA Hons programme offered at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are required to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) ever year. One of the pre-requisite for SMVDU BA Hons course admission is that candidates must appear for CUET UG exam. 

SMVDU BA Hons course admission are based on scores obtained by candidates in the CUET UG examination and CUET UG dates 2024 have been announced for the same by the National Testing Agency. CUET 2024 exam is scheduled to be held between May 15 and May 24 for SMVDU BA Hons. The selected candidates will then be required to appear for the counselling process conducted by the University. 

SMVDU BA Hons Admission Dates 2024 have not been announced by the institute yet. However,  SMVDU BA Hons deadline for filling out the application forms have been elapsed for the academic year 2024. The last date to fill out the admission form was Apr 25, 2024. However, the deadline to fill out the application form may be extended as per the decision of the University. 

SMVDU BA Hons application forms 2024 were released by the University on Mar 26, 2024. Candidates seeking admission to the programme could have applied within a month. SMVDU BA Hons deadline for applying to the programme has now been elapsed for the academic year 2024. However, if candidates wish to apply for the academic year 2025, then the application forms are expected to be out in the month of March next year.  

SMVDU offers a full-time, three-year/ four-year (including research)/ five-year integrated BA Hons programme at the UG level. SMVDU BA Hons seats are alloted to candidates based on their performance and scores obtained by them in the CUET UG. The total SMVDU BA Hons seat intake for the integrated BA Hons plus MA programme across both specialisations is 95.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers a three-year/ four-year (including research) and five-year integrated BA plus MA programmes. SMVDU BA Hons seats are alloted based on their performance of candidates in the CUET UG. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers a Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to the students which recognises merit of the BA Hons programme students at all levels and provides scholarships ranging up to five semesters of free education.

Students who are pursuing BA Hons programme at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University can avail scholarships. SMVDU BA Hons Scholarships can be availed by meritorious students based on their semester performance in the BA Hons examinations. These scholarships are available for economically weak students. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to its BA Hons programme students.

BA in Cinema,  BA in Fine Arts, BA in Journalism & Mass Communication,  BA in Event Management, BA in Hospitality & Tourism Management, BA in Photography, are some of the specialisations offered under BA at AAFT University. BA admission is based on AAFT Global Exam, an online aptitude test conducted by the university followed by a personal interview from the AAFT Expert Desk (telephonic/video-conference/direct). However, candidates must first qualify for the course-wise eligibility criteria as per admission guidelines issued by the AAFT University.
