Aspirants who wish to enrol into the DAV SBM BCom Hons course must qualify for the basic eligibility criteria set by the institute. As per that, a candidate who has passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board of India is eligible to apply. Moreover, students of all streams (Science) can apply for the course.

The merit-based scholarships for BCom students at Jagannath University, Haryana are awarded based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination (Class 12). The university has a tier system:
Students securing above 90% marks in Class 12 receive a 35% tuition fee scholarship.
Those scoring between 80% and 90% are eligible for a 25% tuition fee concession.
Students with scores ranging from 70% to 80% can avail a 10% tuition fee scholarship.
Even those with marks between 60% and 70% are granted a 5% tuition fee concession.

For admission in a BCom programme at Sangamithra Degree and PG College, the aspirant must fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria. Thus, only the aspirants who have passed Class 12 are eligible for admission. In addition, students should have passed the qualifying examination from a recognised board. Candidate must also hold the Class 12 mark sheet during application form filling and at the time of admission for verification purposes.
