It doesn't matter if a student is pursuing B.Com (Hons.) from distance learning in India atleast. The basic condition is it should be pursued from a university recognized by UGC. The job opportunities are equally and importantly available for such candidates as well. The students can compete for government job openings in the same manner as in some one from regular course. The various departments where they could get selected could be through UPSC, SSC or any other local opening at state or even village panchayat levels.
The mode of learning could be anything. Most importantly the candidate should always focus on his/her scorecard. It is the scorecard of the aspirant that keeps him ahead of others. As end of the day it matters a lot. Therefore, one should try to keep his/her scorecard excellent. I hope this would suffice.

According to my view, Distance learning is always seems to be less preferred when it comes to compared with regular full time course. Since B.Com in financial markets management is professional course so you should have to be very much concern about it. Although my suggestion is to go with full time course but still if you want to pursue in distance learning them you must be extra proactive. Because in distance learning you cant get the real work exposure as in college. In full time course, you can get the opportunity to interact with the leading brands in this field and their valuable suggestion. But in distance learning u can learn it in a better way. B.Com in FMM are for those candidates who think that they are excellent in Mathematical knowledge, have advance understanding of current global financial scenarios and expert level mind in latest computer technologies. Did you really think that all you can do this while just sitting at home? Absolutely not. So my suggestion is that go with the regular full time B.Com course in Financial markets management. In India, various colleges/universities are providing this course like; Seth Anandram Jaipuria college in Kolkata, Maharishi Dayanand college of art, commerce, science in Mumbai, Amity University etc. This course has very much scope but again its depends on you that how do you proceed on it?

To simply put, the answer is 'YES'. B.com as a course can be pursued with a basic knowledge of mathematics. But saying so, analytical and logical mind set is very much required for post B.com options like, a core banking jobs, CA, CA, MBA etc. You need not be strong with maths but you should be good at numbers. This will improve over time and during the course as well.
There are plenty of options without much mathematics after B.com but you must figure out what kind of life do you expect and what kind of job you want to do.
My advise is to plan out what you want to do B.Com what other options you have and how the program will help you in achieving your goal.
