Yash, it won't be a good idea to waste one year. What if you are not able to score good in CAT 2017 and don't get a good college. Better would be you join MBA in LPU. You have two options at this time:
1. Quit B.Com and join a good college for a UG course in event management.
2. Complete your B.Com and then pursue a PG course in event management.
The moral of the answer will be join the course of your choice as you will do much better if you pursue a career of your choice.

You can go for MBA by giving entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, MAT etc. provided you do it from a good college so that it would be better for you in future career growth and better placements.
Or, you can also go for CA.
