FMS Admission is a 2 stages process. The first stage is appearing for the CAT Exam conducted by the IIMs. Second stage is GD PI. Only topper are able to make it to FMS.m

Duration of the course: One-year full time
Eligibility: Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized
university with at least 50% marks at graduation level. SC/ST and OBC
candidate requires only minimum pass marks at the graduation level for

There are no pros and cons as such. People generally go for distance graduation if they are pursuing any professional certification like you are doing.
