The intake capacity of College of Teacher Education,Tezpur as limited by NCTE to 100 (Two basic Unit). The Govt. of Assam select the list of teacher from secondary schools and accordingly we admit them on first come first basis. It is also worth mentioning that if the seats remain vacant and those seats are filled up by the candidates selected by the Gauhati University from their B.Ed. entrance test.So that's cutoff will be decide by that year exam as per their seat capacity.

Smt. Manjira Devi Shikshan and Prashikshan Institute seat intake for B.Ed is 100. The institute accepts only girls for the programme. You can do a teacher's training programme but there are few limitations. Here are the programme you can follow according to your interest:

1)D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) : This is 2 year course which you can pursue . After this, you can work as a teacher in government or private schools for the primary level.

2)NTT (Nursery Teacher Training):This is also a 2 year course. After this, you can work as a nursery teacher .

The admission procedure to B.Ed. at BKNMU essentially focuses on merit.

A candidate should have completed at least Class 12 in order to apply. The entrance exam is permitted and optional. Admission can be secured on merit in the last qualifying examination with considered preference. Upon selection, a candidate is required to pay the course fee to confirm his/her seat.

There are several colleges in Asansol which offers B.Ed. in many streams . College list is given below:

1)Bijoy Pal Memorsil B.Ed college . Fees for the total course is around 1.5 Lakhs . This data may not be true, you can check it through college.

2)College of Teacher Education. This college is also a good option and Fees for B.Ed. is around 1.4Lakhs.
