This course has been discontinued as per July 2025. Hence you cannot apply for it .

If you are passionate about this course you can try pursuing it in other universities.for example Rabindra Bharati university, Jadavpur University.

If you already have a B.LIB.I.Sc Kalyani university still offers masters.Admission requires entrance exam and its merit based too.

Yes, as per the new UGC guidelines, you can even do a BA General and a BLIS (Bachelor of Library and Information Science) degree simultaneously, as long as you plan your time well and ensure there are no duplicate class timings for the two courses; you can opt to do one in full-time physical mode and the other in online or distance learning mode if needed.

You must have earned a bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited university for at least three years in order to be admitted to Saurashtra Universitys Bachelor of Library Science programme (B.Lib.I.Sc). The curriculum consists of two semesters and lasts for 12 months. Graduates and postgraduates with at least second-class status are eligible. Admission may require an application process and is usually contingent upon meeting the qualifying requirements.
