B.Sc Agriculture

Both B.Sc agriculture and B.Tech agriculture engineering are prospective as subjects. By doing B.Tech agriculture engineering, you can sit for GATE and pursue your M.Tech from IITs and get placed in private sector jobs with handsome pay scale.
You may also opt for jobs after your B.Tech. Many tractor companies, irrigation companies, farm machinery developers offer jobs to the freshers. On the other hand, after doing B.Sc agriculture, you can opt for jobs in SEED fertilizer and pesticide companies.
You can go for M.Sc (you may also get a scholarship by scoring high in AIEEA-PG, JRF), you can also take the exam for assistant director for agriculture conducted by PSC, CWC, SWC, SSC FCI, IBPS-SO, IBPS-PO, SBI-PO, etc. You may also get a wide array of opportunities by clearing the NET (ICAR or CSIR) exam. If you are interested in the subject, you may go for Ph.D. also, which'll enable you to be in a course for JPBS like professor and subject matter specialist. You may also join in R&D in private sector companies.

Hi, the exam is based on your 10+1 and 10+2.
You have to study more and more and solve previous year booklet and study also different type of magazine. Always focus to crack in first attempt to get admission in BHU. You should understand the logic and concept of physics and chemistry. For maths formulas should be well known and read questions properly. Also solve previous years question paper.
Prepare well the syllabus of 10+2 in good manner. You definitely crack the examination also solve previous year paper which will help you too much. A lot of candidates crack the examination in first attempt. I also got admission in first attempt. I think 50% get admission in first attempt. Don't worry.

There are a plenty of government as well as private sector jobs available for B.Sc Agriculture graduates. They can be appointed as Research Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Agriculture Officer, Agriculture Loan Officer (in Banks), Production Manager, Operations Manager and Farm Manager with State agriculture departments. In the private sector, agriculture science graduates may find jobs as managers at plantations, as officers at fertilizer manufacturing firms, agriculture machinery industries, agricultural products marketing firms, food processing units, etc. The average starting salary of these officers is generally between Rs. 5 to 6 LPA (including incentive). And as you have experience, the scope for better remuneration is immense. After doing B.Sc Agriculture, one may also go for agriculture and take up a teaching job, or even go for a Ph.D and build a career in agricultural research.
