IES educational qualification Criteria as defined for the UPSC requires the applicant to have cleared ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
1. Must possess a degree in Engineering from a recognised institute with the minimum percentage required.
2. Should have cleared section A and B from the Institutions of engineers (India).
3. Obtained a degree/Diploma in Engineering from such Foreign University/ College/ Institution and the certificate is valued as equivalent to the degree received in India.

Depending upon your university and skills it ranges anywhere between 6lakh to even crores. Students from my university went for off-campus placements and got 36lakh pa package in amazon.
