Yes, maths is compulsory for B.Sc biotech.
The course needs candidates who have passed the 12th standard examination of the Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

B.Tech and B.Sc. in IT and CS both have a good scope.
When we talk about B.Tech, it is a technical course of 4 years. You will work hard as compared to B.Sc.
Whereas B.Sc. is not much of a practical course but the scope is same as B.Tech. Here, you can save your 1 year also.
Placements are good in both courses.
