You should check with the admission authorities if you can switch to another college in the first year. For lateral entries, candidate should have a good academic record and there should be a tie up with your college and the target institute. Some universities like Annamalai University provide lateral entry admission to 2nd year for which the candidates must have cleared 1st year with minimum 75% marks from a recognized university.

Cracking IIT JAM in first attempt is the aim of many B.Sc Aspirants.
You must apply for the IIT JAM Exam if you want to do your post-graduation.

Admission process:
Reputed institutes rely on merit based admission process. Marks scored by students in 10+2 board exam and/or relevant entrance test are taken into consideration. Based on the marks scores, a merit list is formed.
Depending upon the cut-off marks, seats are allotted to deserving candidates. Some institutes are also known to conduct their own selection/entrance test.

The decision will always be yours but frankly speaking I would like to suggest to you that hospital management course might not be the best option for you since you have done medical microbiology. The field of microbiology would give you better returns albeit lately. So think again.

After this course you have array of opportunities, likewise either go for general competition that is banking, railways, or prepare for civil services. Apart from all these you can also go for further studies M.Sc from ranked colleges. During that period it would be easy for you to arrange interns and join on a good package such Hindu College, Christ University, Madras Christian College, Loyala College, or go for JNU.
