To become eligible for the BSc programme, the candidate must meet the course-specific eligibility criteria. They must have completed their Class 12 with at least 50% to 60% aggregate from any recognised board. The selection of the candidates depends on the score obtained in the last qualifying exam, followed by the PI round. Additionally, the selection for some specialisation is entrance-based. It should be noted that the above-mentioned eligibility criteria may vary according to the chosen specialisation.

BSc courses can be classified into two categories - BSc Honours and BSc General or Pass. The former focuses on one major subject area. in the BSc Honours degree, the primary focus is on the main subject. Besides that, the BSc honours courses also have elective subjects that students have opted for.

On the other hand, the BSc Science General (Pass) courses provide basic knowledge of different Science subjects to the students. The B Sc General courses are slightly less rigorous. However, they also include both theoretical and practical components.
