As per the D Y Patil School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics admission policy, the BSc qualification requires candidates to be either 17 years of age or attain the age at the time of admission. Further, the students must have passed twelve years of school education with equivalent examination from a recognised board, with minimum 50% aggregate of all subjects. Physics, Chemistry and English are compulsory and the student should have cleared either Mathematics / Biology in class 12 examinations leading to an aggregate of 50% as mentioned above.

Candidates seeking admission to BSc or BSc (Hons) programmes at Mangalayatan University Jabalpur cannot get direct admission as the University accepts the scores and rank achieved by candidates in the entrance examinations conducted either by the University or by Central/ State government agencies.
Candidates who have appeared for the MUEE/ CUET UG or any other National or State level entrance examination can get admission to the BSc or BSc (Hons) programmes at Mangalayatan University Jabalpur. Candidates must also appear for Personal Interview.

Mangalayatan University Jabalpur BSc application fee is INR 500 which can be paid through Debit card, Credit card and, Internet Banking or if the online payment of application fee is unsuccessful, then a DD of INR 500 can also be drawn in the favour of the University. If applying through the offline mode, then a Demand Draft of INR 500 can be enclosed in the favour of the University.
