For OBC category students under the Home State quota, the last round closing rank for CSE admission was 6055 in 2025. For the same BTech specialisation, the cutoff rank was 5077 in 2024, while in 2023, it was 4924. It was evident by looking at the cutoff ranks over the years that the competition has increased.

According to the past three years' round 1 cutoff data, we can say that the competition for the General AI category has been fluctuating.

The NIT Trichy CSE cutoff 2026 was 1219. In 2025 and 2024, the cutoff for the same course and round was 1620 and 1501, respectively. Tabulated below are the year-wise round 1 cutoff ranks for the General AI category.

The recent Osmania University BE CSE cutoff stood at 2053, as per the TS EAMCET round three closing rank. The maximum cutoff rank required in 2026 for admission to BTech CSE was 41599 at IIIT Bhagalpur in round 1 for General AI quota students. A cutoff rank lower than the one mentioned here is considered to be a safe rank for CSE admission at this institute.
