Students pursuing BTech CSE from Jamia Hamdard have to choose an elective during the course. Professional Electives are introduced in four threads besides the Open Elective. There are 6 slots for Professional Electives and 4 slots for Open Electives. The department may permit students to take 50% of these (Professional electives + open electives) from other disciplines, based on the choices of the students and Consent of Course advisors. Some of the electives available are:
- Quantum Computing
- Advanced Algorithms
- Parallel and Distributed Algorithms
- Computational Complexity
- Queuing Thoery and Modeling, etc.
