Hey Mohit,
It would be a tough call to get NIT with this much score in JEE mains but you can wait for the counseling. However, I would suggest you to apply for some other colleges so that you are not in trouble at a later stage. You can check out LPU in Jalandhar offering best scholarship based on 12 marks. Some other colleges to consider are-

There's actually a difference and that's why they are two different streams.
In computer engineering, you're taught about the computer hardware as well as software fundamentals.
Whereas in information technology, the focus is more on software development. and less on hardware.
In IT, there are subjects which teach you practical software development. Whereas in CS, subjects are more theoretical.

In case if you take CSE and if you are not having aptitude to do programming how can you get jobs.

Core of the subject in both the courses are same. Bachelor's in computer science is a 3 years graduation course in which along with physics and math one subject will be of computer also.
Btech cs is a engineering degree course of 4 years. Technology is studied. Great in demand than bsc cs.
